Well
Currently, in temples, well-constructed water tanks are found especially in the northern and eastern directions, signifying auspiciousness. Such sacred tanks are considered praiseworthy.Even in places resembling big ponds, constructing wells in the north or east direction brings benefits.
Even if there are deep wells, constructing them in the north direction is beneficial.
Closing or sealing a water source is against Dharma Shastra. There are many simple ways to keep it open.
North brings significant benefits.
North-east brings its own advantages.
South is unfavorable for water sources, while south-east brings contempt.
South-west brings unfavorable contradictions.
South-east brings unexpected losses.
North-west causes harm to children.
North-east is free from contradictions.
South-west results in enmity.
North and south bring contradictory oppositions.
West leads to adversities for children.
North-west is unfavorable for enemies.

The directions of the wells,And the benefits
Even if it's a well or a deep well, there is only one proper way to arrange it according to Vastu. However, there are some minor variations.
If the water source is in the northern part of the house or in a place close to the north, it brings benefits. But even in such cases, it is good to avoid having the main entrance of the house facing the north-east or north-west direction.
Some people believe that constructing a high platform (plinth) in a square shape around the well is beneficial. Also, having the surroundings of the well in a square shape is considered good. The platform should not be touching the water level of the well.
Having a well or a water source outside the main entrance of the house, on either side, is not auspicious. In some places, it is considered beneficial to place a holy basil plant (Tulsi) in between the well and the main entrance. When there is a well in the north without water, or if the water in the well has an unpleasant taste, it can be changed to be auspicious.
The position of the well or the water source below the ground level is not beneficial
Having the water source in the southern part of the house may lead to health issues for children.
Having the water source in the south-west can create health problems for the head of the family.
Having the water source in the south-east may cause health issues related to the stomach.
Having the water source in the north-west can lead to mental distress.
Having the water source in the north-east can create problems related to children's education.
Having the water source in the center of the house can affect the prosperity of the family.
