There is a strong connection between Vastu Shastra and astrology. Our scriptures are intertwined with each other. Firstly, it is essential to understand whether a house has favorable yoga for an individual based on their astrological chart. It is beneficial to purchase a house in the name of the person who will reside in it, whether it is the individual themselves, their mother, their spouse, or their father.
Shastra is a source of knowledge. It can be learned through reading and studying divine scriptures. There are no errors in this knowledge.
It is important to follow the correct practices to benefit from it. Just like any other knowledge, there can be misconceptions and incorrect methods associated with the Shastra. It is necessary to rely on experts who have correctly understood and applied the principles mentioned in the scriptures. Even if it is not possible to follow all the guidelines mentioned in the scriptures, one can still benefit from practicing them to the best of their ability. The scriptures provide valuable guidance, and paying attention to them is crucial.
Once it is understood that a house has yoga, whether in a city, village, or rural area, suitable for their respective yoga practice, individuals can choose to buy houses. Some people may experience struggles related to their careers when certain planets are affecting specific houses, such as the sixth, eighth, or twelfth house, or when malefic planets are present. In such cases, it is necessary to seek the advice of an astrologer to determine the appropriate measures to mitigate these challenges before considering purchasing land.
Even if a house is constructed according to Vastu Shastra, it is essential to ensure that it aligns with the individual's astrological chart and supports their yoga practice.
Following Vastu Shastra principles in house construction is not only about architecture but also about upholding righteousness. For example, some people may cut down green trees in their residential premises, believing that the shade of a tree falling on their house is causing "Saya dosha" or negative influence. However, this action goes against the principles of righteousness.
Constructing a house without the permission of the government or encroaching upon someone else's land is unjustifiable.
Building houses in lands that rightfully belong to temples without leasing or paying the necessary fees is a sin. Transforming fertile lands into residential areas, destroying forests, lakes, and archaeological sites are also against the principles of righteousness. It is essential to be mindful of such aspects.
Story of andhakasura defeat and vastu purusha Origin
When the battle between Andhakasura and Lord Shiva took place, Lord Shiva emerged from the third eye on His forehead. A tremendous energy was released, which transformed into a powerful asura (demon) who spread throughout the world. Lord Shiva defeated Andhakasura. The Devas, who had sought Lord Shiva's refuge, blessed Vastu Purusha with their footsteps. The footsteps of the Devas made Vastu Purusha holy. Even though Vastu Purusha originated from Lord Shiva, the Devas performed worship (puja) on that sacred being due to their reverence. Because the Devas touched and worshipped the sacred land, Vastu Purusha became sanctified.
It is Vastu Purusha, the embodiment of the land, who is worshipped and propitiated in any land-related event or ceremony. Lord Shiva granted boons and blessings for starting work. He stayed in the crescent moon for several days apart from the specified two days mentioned in some texts. In certain scriptures, Vastu Purusha is referred to as Bhumiputra (earth-born) and is called upon for worship.
Marichi Maharishi, through divine grace received from Vishnu Maharishi, has explained many details about Vastu Purusha in the Vyakansa Kalpa Sutra. There are also other valuable books on Vastu Shastra, such as Sripa Nagaram, Sripa Rattinam, Mayamatham, Kasyapa, Sarvartha Manjari, and Vastu Vidya.
